Looking for a reasonably priced home. I'm more about location. I'll buy a small house in a nicer area if need be. Wanting to be close to Columbia Theological Seminary School. Where should I look %26amp; what should I stay away from (streets, subdivisions, etc) ?Buying home in Decatur, Ga. What are the best subdivisions? Or areas?
The seminary is located on Columbia Drive directly across from the Methodist Children's home. Columbia Drive is a nice area but stay toward the side of the street that is closer to downtown Decatur. The other side of the street runs into Memorial Drive which has some rough areas.
You would be quite close to Avondale Estates, about 5 minutes to the Seminary. You could also look into the Stone Mountain area, it is down memorial drive but has some nice house at more affordable prices. I would really recommend staying away from the end of Columbia where the new Walmart is.
