Buying home in Decatur ,Ga. Should I stay North/South of Memorial Hwy? What's a better neighborhood?

Moving to Atlanta soon, currently looking online at a few homes near the intersection of Memorial Hwy %26amp; Columbia Dr. Around that area, what should I keep in mind? What side of Memorial or Columbia Dr should I try to shoot for? Not sure if it's the same or certain sides of the streets are rougher than others. Do yourself a favor and don't move to near Mem. %26amp; Columbia. That's Decatur, Georgia, a town you would want to avoid. You'd be better off in neighboring Avondale Estates or further west up Memorial Drive in Atlanta's Kirkwood or East Atlanta.Buying home in Decatur ,Ga. Should I stay North/South of Memorial Hwy? Personally, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Memorial Dr. It is not a good area to live in.





The further south you get from College Ave the rougher the area gets.
