I think if you want to stop illegals immigration, you have to get rid of the reason they come!


If they are able to get a loan for a house, or even buy a house while being immigrants, they will still come!


If they get stamp food and other free helop, it won't help the situtation!


If they still find people to employ them, it won't stop them!


I'm immigrant myself, but i'm honest! i know everbody wants a better life, but at the same time, i know it's not hard to understand what americans are asking!

Why should we give illegals the right to stay in our country. They commited a crime, whether they came here and over stayed their visas or they were brought across by coyotes. Illegal is illegal, stop trying to sugar coat it. I don't believe in amnesty. It has been tried too many times and fails each time. 15 -20 years done the road you will have another group of illegals crying for amnesty. Apply pay the fees and wait like everyone else. You think because you've been here for years that you are any better than the ones that came across yesterday? Your illegal. Go home, apply and wait. And as for all the people that holler, '; who will pick the fruit?'; I say, ';I'm sick of hearing how only a Mexican does the work that a white person doesn't want to do.'; Have any of you ever thought that if you went to Mexico, and tried to get a credit card or health insurance or welfare that you would be able to receive government benefits? Think again. Your an illegal in Mexico. The government won't give you a pot to piss in, because your not a Mexican citizen. No free health care for you, no welfare, NOTHING!! But yet, illegals come here demanding we let them stay in the meantime they receive welfare and some even live tax free lives. I'm tired of paying for illegals. I say go home, apply and wait.

Bank of America,issues illegals credit,then slams them with interest ,the illegals are trying to build credit and hope they can gain amnesty by that,however most will not be able to pay off the debt.And even if they do it is sad that a corporation can abuse people like that.And its obviouse that if there is ever to be any amnesty it will come at a great price on both sides of the issue in my opinion.

I agree with you, but you are different. The country you came from is developed whereas Mexico is not. America is a place where Mexicans consider ';a good life'; compared to their country. It's sad knowing that there are impoverished people in this country that the government can't help because they ';slip through the cracks';. People, like most, living in poverty come here to America because they will make alot more money than they do (did) in their native country. I have no qualms with immigrants coming here to better their lives (education), but they should have a conscious, and come to this country legally

What does stealing a credit card have to do with entering the US without permission? One is a much more serious crime and when it happens, it seriously injures another person.





If a person enters without a visa, it is not going to hurt YOU personally, is it? If they come in and keep to themself and work and improve their life, that doesn't hurt YOU personally, does it?





Entering the US without permission is a misdemeanor that is not prosecuted. The people who do it, do not know it is a misdemeanor. People here without permission are deported (unless they have a defense to that deportation) when they are discovered.





That said, I am not saying that people should be permitted to enter the US without proper documents. I do not have a problem at all when most people are removed from this county when they don't have ties to the US and they are here without proper documentation. I especially don't have a problem with them being deported when they come here and commit crimes. There are many legal immigrants who come here and commit crimes, too by the way.





There are a lot of opinions flying around here and to be honest, both sides have elements of correctness.





You people don't understand that there are so many gray areas. Everyone talks about ILLEGALS. So many say they don't have a problem with people who come legally. If a person crosses into the US without a visa, without inspection, it is a misdemeanor. However, if a person enters with a visa (a tourist visa, for example), but then stays beyond the time they are permitted to stay, they entered ';LEGALLY'; but from the moment their permitted time here ends, they begin to accrue what's called unlawful presence in the US. This is not a crime, although you could also call a person in this example an ';ILLEGAL.'; Many, many people get tourist visas and come here with the intention of staying and not going back. Are these people any better than the person who swam across the river without the visa, just because they came into the US with a visa?





The law PERMITS people coming to the US fleeing persecution to qualify for asylum even if they didn't have a visa and EVEN if they used a fradulent visa to try to enter.





All of this talk about the so-called drain on our economy because of immigrants does not take into consideration all of the ways they offset those costs by all the benefits they give. A lot of things that simply aren't true are stated in here. People here without permission don't just qualify for food stamps and free medical care, etc. Some jursidictions provide assistance for medical care, but that's on a local level. A person here unlawfully cannot get medicaid. The fact that so many of them don't file tax returns is a plus for the federal government because it gets to keep all the money withheld from these people's paychecks. I wonder how many millions of of dollars that is?





You said it right, YES TO LEGAL IMMIGRATION! Give the people who have earned it, a chance to stay.





What's my point? This is a complicated issue. I agree with people's ideas that it should be harder for people here illegally to make it and therefore there will be less of an attraction to our country. Hopefully these countries can begin to fix their problems (by the way, the US government is responsible for a lot of the corruption in these countries).





One more point -- this is not a ';liberal'; Democrat vs. ';conservative'; Republican issue. Traditionally, it has been the Republicans that have been in favor of immigrants (notice I didn't use the word ';ILLEGAL';) because they are good for big business. The harshest immigration law passed lately was in 1986 -- the IIRAIRA and that was our buddy Bill Clinton who didn't veto that one.

Illegals are illegals because they cannot afford the high cost of the process. Why do you think they want amnesty? They want to be legal. Help them to be legal just like you want them to be by being pro amnesty.
I think the country should get rid of you. To me, you sound just as undesirable as many people assume illegal immigrants are.
