I live in VA in the Northern Va commuting area and would like to post my home for sale without realtors and fee's. I got it for sale at a good price and there is lots of land and a easy commute to DC. Let me know If youknow of any free sites or how I can put my home out there for sale to people who will be locating to this area from the BRAC. Thank you :)Is the a website for military or civillains looking to buy homes?
YOu may want to see if you can list the sale on base bulletin board systems and in the various weekly publications each base in the area has. I know many people now adays handle the sale of thier house on their own. Be sure to look into all the legal ramifications (home inspections, termite inspections, taxes and gaurntees to the new owners) before you list anything. Also, you don't mention if you are selling because of a PCS. If this is the case, be sure to have someone you can give a power of attorney to for handling some things after you move if the house has not sold yet (here hoping DC's slow market won't trip you up). Finally, since you will more than likely be dealing with a military buyer, better check up on any VA loan issues about purchasing without the use of a realtor. You will want to know all of this before listing, in case there is anything you will need to do, file or fix.Is the a website for military or civillains looking to buy homes?
Try here: http://www.homesbyowner.com/northern_vir鈥?/a>
go to militarybyowner.com You can put in the state and base you will be at. The website has home for sale by owner, with an agent and also homes for rent. We have used it and have a home for sale on it now in Texas. The site isn't free thought, but has three different price points. The highest cost $79 where you can put pics of your home and it can stay on there for up to 6 months. Hopefully won't have to be on there that long but the market in most places have a lot of home on the market right now.
this a good one,,,http://www.militaryrelocatin.com Also if you go to your new command website there is often links to help with your relocation! If you can't find anything call your sponsor if you are not given one call the command and talk to your cheif (navy) or whomever is in charge of you and ask them for a few numbers or places you can find this information with the navy we have a fleet and family support center oh and even if you are not with this branch you can always find a local base and ask for help they will help you!
