What are some luxury areas in illinois good for buying homes costing 1,000,000 and over?

i want to buy an expensive house in the illinois area,1,000,000-2,000,000,thannx in advanceWhat are some luxury areas in illinois good for buying homes costing 1,000,000 and over?
There are neighborhoods in Chicago with houses this expensive - Lincoln Park, Bucktown and Sauganash. Some high-rise condos will also cost this much, such as the Hancock Building and Lake Point Towers. Look at suburbs on the north shore including Lake Forest, Winnetka, Glencoe, Highland Park and more. Northwest look at Barrington, Kildeer and Inverness. West look at Hinsdale, LaGrange and Oak Brook. Stay away from anything south.

Truth to tell, it is not hard to spent $1 million on a home if you really want to.What are some luxury areas in illinois good for buying homes costing 1,000,000 and over?
I am not in Illinois, but i think ice man is incorrect. There are expensive luxury homes everywhere. In my area there must be 100+ listings at 1 million or more. I don't know what he is trying to say.

www.remax.com should be able to help you find the home you are looking for.
Try the far west suburbs of Chicago some pretty incredible homes there.
You can find an expensive home just about anywhere in Illinois or any other state. We need to alot more than the price you are able to pay - how about lot size? Are you interested in a no maintainance property such as a condo? Are schools important to you? Urban, suburban or rural location? For this size of an investment, the best advice would be - Do not risk working alone - contact a professional Realtor and work with him or her. It will cost you NOTHING, the seller pays the commission. With professional representation, you will be guided through the buying process painlessly.
The only homes that expensive are on the Northside of Chicago. Or fancy condos in Chicago.

Out the country even the nicest homes dont really sell for million. Unless perhaps they come with over 100 acres.
