I see myself consuming $1,200 on rent a month. I have been a renter for four years. I know that because of crazy math good people in California have no other financial option than to rent. My own thoughts are a desire to help others and learn how to help myself. Is this a risky dream? Are there people out there that wish the same.I wan to help others and myself buy homes. Is this a worthy pursuit, and is it possible?
If I understand you correctly, you would like to go in with someone else or several people and buy an house instead of rent?
Where are you and your new friends going to get financing?I wan to help others and myself buy homes. Is this a worthy pursuit, and is it possible?
This is purely a case by case basis (depending on house, price and area of cali.) But let me remind you California is still #3 in the nation as foreclosures increase. That market has not bottomed yet and neither has Ohio. I cant Imagine a deal good enough for an additional 20- 40% in depreciation. If I had the money to buy a house, I'd take out a loan for six months, a significant amount, don't touch it , open another bank account with it and pay back the loan right on time. If you do this 3 or for times ( don't touch the money!); which pans out ot about 18 months. The housing market should be appreciating again and you won't feel slight increase in interest rates due to your slightly improved credit.
That occupation is called a Realtor and if that's your dream, shoot a little higher.
